Learning How to Grow Restorative Churches

After this training, participants will have the tools they need to support the implementation of restorative practice in their congregations. Some of the topics covered are: what does it mean to be a restorative church, how to facilitate circles, the types of circles. In Part 2, we practice formal Restorative Conferences, learning how to move from adversarial to restorative approaches when dealing with conflict and harm.

For an effective training we need a minimum of 12 participants for part 1 and for part 2.

Part 1: Framework and Circles

In five weeks, you will explore a relational framework and explicit practices that help to build, sustain and heal relationships. You will learn and practice how to facilitate circles and learn how to implement restorative practices into your community. 

Part 2: Formal Restorative Conferences

During these five weeks, you will practice how to facilitate formal and informal conferences to deal with conflict and harm. (Part 1 is a prerequisite for Part 2 training).
