Shalem will be celebrating 50 years of Restoring Hope with an evening you don’t want to miss. Joining us is musician Jacob Moon, a Hamilton-area singer and songwriter. As an award-winning pop and folk artist, Moon has received accolades from Rush, Ron Sexsmith and Queen for his original, soulful music.
We are also very excited to have William Paul Young as our guest speaker. Paul is the author of The Shack, a novel written for his children that shot to fame with it’s compelling story about an individual’s spiritual experience. Paul has written another book called Cross Roads, which he describes as an even better story, and which looks at relationship within community.
Paul will speak on the topic “The Gospel and Mental Health.” His own story as a survivor of childhood abuse is very compelling. Described as a fascinating, thought-provoking and transparent speaker, Paul will share his grace-filled journey with us, one of moving from hardship, darkness and despair to hope, healing and gratitude.
The celebration will take place in Hamilton at Peoples Church. Tickets can be purchased at ticketwindow.ca (service fees will apply). Tickets may also be purchased at the door for $35 each.
