Celebrating Mark Vander Vennen

PRINT

Issue: Fall 2022

After over 16 years of dedicated service and excellent leadership, Mark Vander Vennen retired as Shalem’s Executive Director at the end of 2020. At that time, due to pandemic restrictions, we were unable to have the kind of send-off and celebration of Mark that he deserves. We are very excited to be having the party now!

On October 29th, we will be gathering at the GasWorks in Hamilton to connect with Mark in person, share stories and memories, and honour the legacy of his work with Shalem. This is an opportunity for the broader network of Shalem supporters and affiliates to show appreciation for how he shaped Shalem and touched the lives of so many. Please consider yourself invited!

You are welcome to join us, beginning at 7 pm, as we celebrate, reflect and enjoy good company. Light fare and drink will be served and there will be a cash bar. Please RSVP by using this link. You will find directions to the GasWorks here.

In lieu of gifts, Mark has requested donations to Shalem. Donations can be made by visiting our profile on Canada Helps. Cheques can also be received at the event.

We look forward to hearing what Mark is up to in his retirement and celebrating Mark with you!
