Learning How to Grow Restorative Churches

FaithCARE will be hosting a virtual restorative practice training: Learning How to Grow Restorative Churches.

This training will take place on Wednesday evenings, beginning on January 12 through February 9, 2022. It will be from 6:00 – 9:00 pm EST.

Relationships break, they need restoring. Restoration starts with conversation. Conversation starts with listening. Using FaithCARE’s framework developed exclusively for churches and other faith communities, you will join a class of not more than 12 people to learn to facilitate Listening Circles, Facilitated Conversations, and respond effectively to deep-level conflict.

Responding effectively to deep-level conflict will be covered in Part 2 from February 23 – March 23. (must have completed Part 1).

This training is recommended for:

  • Pastors
  • Council and Board members
  • Leadership teams
  • Pastoral care teams
  • Interim ministers
  • Denominational staff

A minimum of 6 participants are required for this training to proceed, and a maximum of 12 participants.

Instructors:
Anne Martin, PhD, is Shalem’s Director of Restorative Practice
Bill Bickle, B.Comm, MBA is a certified trainer and facilitator, working in church health and congregational development.
